D’AUT (D’AUTOMNE)

The first rays of sunlight begin to creep into every alley and corner of Hanoi, akin to the inaugural message from the dawn of a new day. The bustling moments of the early day are captured in Thach Lam's journal "Hà Nội băm sáu phố phường," evoking memories of home verandas as a cool breeze, a place of transition between inside and out, brimming with familial life memories.

The warm sunshine still sparkles. It's an early autumn morning. 

Under the canopy of the Indochina dragon plum tree (Sau tree), "d'aut" encapsulates moments, intertwining stories of the past and present.

"d'aut" carries the Asian contemporary spirit in its design style. Based on the existing floor plan, we inherited the traditional sloping roof architecture with ancient Chinese tile roofs to develop glass blocks with classic four-petal pear flower patterns, which are combined to brighten up the project spirit.

Although the styling layout is installed to be convenient for a modern lifestyle, it contains the breath of ancient Hanoians in every single detail such as lacquer paintings, carved objects with the dragon-phoenix motifs of the Tran Dynasty, and even indochine furniture.

Timeless, tenderly beneath the pure sunlight, the story on the porch blends with the jazz music playing on the vinyl record along with the scent of white osmanthus flowers wafting in the wind.
